Meet Robyn, the founder of Velvet Aura and your Shamanic Kundalini Yoga teacher 🤍

With a certificate in Kundalini Yoga, Robyn is expanding her teaching by undergoing an additional certification in Shamanic Kundalini, applying ancient healing practices of Shamanism to the powerful, ancient Kundalini Yoga. She’s been observed by her teacher (@souladventures) and has been given the encouraging all-clear to teach this yoga in person! 🧘

Robyn’s take on Shamanic Kundalini: It’s a beautiful branch of Kundalini Yoga that honours its ancient, ~ original ~ roots, while implementing shamanic insights through harmonious ways of living, surrendering to the Great Unknown, and appreciating the aliveness in all that is! 🌄

👁️ These movements encorporate our yoga variation for the third eye while testing your shoulder strength! Exercises like downward facing down can stimulate the pineal gland, so we’ve curated some of our movements around it!

👁️ When closing your eyes and focusing on the third eye during your yoga practices, it allows the healing of that posture of sequence to increase! Opening your eyes can diminish the efficacy of the healing

🔥 Breath of Fire is a very powerful healing tool, known to help balance the nervous systems and aid stress management. There are a ton of benefits to this breath which we’ll cover in a future post!

📘 The leg lift and curl over incorporates our shoulder stand to bow pose for the throat chakra and rolls through from base of spine to neck. While our reverse plank variations look at lifting and opening chest to the sky, while engaging our lower body and glutes for a strength exercise!
